～Focus with wide horizons. 広い視野を持って集中すること。～
Just surrender…
Whatever I chose, it became my karma. I can’t choose the result, and it will be given by something beyond me.
Last late afternoon, I came to Upaya Zen Center. Here, I’ve been feeling slow quiet flow of time with rich of nature. The place where sincere people gather is filled with peace. So I think everybody can be calm and feel tenderness only by staying here.
Same like last evening, I attended Zazen this morning. I felt wonder because in the U.S. I’ve touched Japanese culture. It was opposite culture shock, really.
There is something I can’t see because it is too close and familiar for me.
Tonight, the training course “Being with Dying” will be started. I’m excited calmly about all awareness which I will get here, to say nothing of this course.
Hope I can focus with wide horizons during this course.
ただ身を任せること…。
選んだものが何であっても、それは私のカルマとなる。結果は自分で選べないし、何か私を超えたものによって与えられる。
昨日の夕方、サンタフェのウパヤ禅センターに入りました。ここでは、自然の豊かさと共に、静かでゆったりとした時間が流れています。真摯な人々の集まる場所は、平和に満ちていて、そこに居るだけで穏やかで優しい気持ちになっていくような気がします。
昨日の夕方に続き、今朝も座禅に参加しました。アメリカで日本の文化に触れる、逆カルチャーショックに、なんだか不思議な気持ちになりました。
近すぎて見えなかったものに気付かされた感覚。
これからの1週間、トレーニングコース参加で学ぶことは勿論ですが、それ以外から気付くであろう全てのことに、静かにワクワクしています。
このコースの間、広い視野を持って集中出来たらいいな…と思います。
